Company Introduction
Gasmaster Industries was incorporated in June 1995, as the manufacturing arm of Powertech Industries Inc. (Powertech), a B.C. company with office in Vancouver. Work on the radial pulsed boiler was started at B.C. Research in the winter of 1984 under a contract from Powertech. In March 1986, the first research prototype of the radial pulsed boiler with a 7.5 mBtu/hr capacity was tested. Work on a range of engineering prototypes was continued at B.C. Research for the next 8 years. In the summer of 1994, the first two "field" prototypes with 150,000 Btu/hr rating were installed in two separate applications. After six months of field tests and establishing the viability of the product, Powertech began establishing its manufacturing facility. In 1996 Gasmaster began selling its first boilers. Due to its financial strength and backing by its strong major shareholders, Gasmaster adopted a very conservative approach to marketing its product. Although the manufacturing facility was equipped with state-of-the-art computer controlled production equipment, all required certifications were obtained, and the field units installed in 1994 were working perfectly, the company limited its activities to the local market only. During the first four years of its operation, Gasmaster produced less than 40 units for a handful of carefully selected projects. These projects allowed the company's engineers to closely monitor the performance of the boilers in a range of applications and try to "perfect" any and all possible features of the product, before embarking on a national and eventually North American marketing campaign. In 1999 the company filed and was granted new patents on its products. The new international patents cover a wide range of features, which include: combustion process, product configuration and the unique automatic throttle mechanism. As a result of over 15 years of concentrated R&D work, more than $15 million investment in product development and production equipment, the company is now capable of offering a complete line of 26 models of boilers and water heaters with unparalleled performance and quality, bar none. In January 2004, the company presented its line of products, including its unique 8,000 MBH high efficiency condensing boiler and water heater, in the ASHRAE exposition. Gasmaster and Fama's dedication to and belief in, R&D and advancement of technology will ensure that Gasmaster will always stay at the forefront in the field of high efficiency condensing boilers and water heaters. |
