  Advantages Over Conventional Boilers

  1. Efficiency: the average efficiency of Gasmaster boilers is 95.6%, which is approximately 15% higher than that of conventional boilers.

  2. Direct Vent: unlike conventional boilers, the exhaust gases from Gasmaster boilers and water heaters can be directly vented to the ambient through adjacent walls, thus eliminating the need for high stacks and chimneys.

  3. Low Temperature Exhaust: because of the high efficiency and condensing mode of operation, the combustion products are exhausted at very low temperatures (approximately 66°C). This allows the use of inexpensive CPVC/PVC ducts, or air-tight flexible hose.

  4. Clean Exhaust: due to the pulsation and relatively cold exhaust gases, the level of NOx content in the exhaust gases is below 15 ppm. At present there is no other known boiler which has such low level NOx emissions. This makes Gasmaster boilers and water heaters one of the most environmentally friendly products in the market today. During the past decade, regulatory authorities, both in the US and Canada, have been reducing the allowable level of NOx emissions. This has resulted in removal of a number of brand names from the market. At present the allowable level of NOx emissions in most states is around 80-100 ppm. However, this will be reduced to 30 ppm in the near future. This will further strengthen the position and marketability of Gasmaster boilers nd water heaters. Southern California municipalities have already adopted the new regulations, and do not allow the use of any boiler with NOx emissions higher that 15 ppm.

  5. Superior Material: unlike conventional boilers which are constructed either from cast iron or copper tubing, Gasmaster boilers incorporate ASME approved stainless steel heat exchangers. All other sheet metal components (boiler housing the condensate tray) are also made of stainless steel. The choice of high grade stainless steel increases the useful life of Gasmaster boilers well beyond that of conventional boilers.

  6. Long Term Warranty: because of stainless steel construction, and simplicity of hardware, Gasmaster can offer warranties on parts and labor much longer than what is currently offered by other manufacturers.

  7. Installation: Gasmaster boilers and water heaters can be directly connected to the main's cold water supply line and hot water feed line. The requirement for any secondary loop and/or mixing valves are completely eliminated. This, together with direct vent feature, allow the boiler and water heater to be installed in any desired location, thus eliminating the need for any special construction requirements associated with conventional boilers.

  8. Low Return Water Temperature: in most space heating applications, designers are limited by the return water temperature requirement of conventional boilers. In most cases, heating systems are designed to allow for only 20 degree temperature drop, to ensure return water temperature remains above 60 °C (= 140 °F). This is to avoid possible condensation, which will result in almost immediate and permanent damage to the boiler. In contrast, Gasmaster boilers offer the engineers the opportunity to design heating systems for maximum efficiency without the return water temperature being a limiting design factor. Not only this feature results in significant cost savings (elimination of mixing valves and secondary loops), it also allows for designing highly efficient heating systems.

  9. Automatic Throttle System: the unique throttle system incorporated in the Gasmaster boilers, almost eliminates the on/off cycles. As discussed above, this feature significantly increases the service life of the boiler, as well as maximizing the operational efficiencies by eliminating cold start ups.
